Women’s Naturalist Apprenticeship
(7 women max, 5 weekend committment)
How are Maples, Hummingbirds and Sapsuckers connected?
What about Porcupines, Hemlocks and Fungi?
What do Coyotes have to do with the health of a River? Is this the trail of a Red Fox, or Bobcat?
How can the surrounding terrain help you to figure this out?
If someone were to hand you the skull of a mammal, would you be able to tell who’s it was with your eyes closed?
Ever dream of camping along the river while harvesting clay and firing it in a pit with a bunch of fun women?
Who built this nest and who’s feather did I just find on the ground?
This is a deep dive into Nature connection and awareness through study, play, community building, discussions, story sharing and of course lots of immersion through outdoor exploration including a couple of overnights in the woods. You will learn to develop all of your senses, noticing intricacies of kinship between all species.

(Open to all genders, 7 humans max, 5 weekend committment)
Who are the non-human Animals who l live amongst?
How can I change my own behaviors in order to be treated as one of the gang and better my chances of observing them without causing disruption?
Can I suss out from these marks in the sand who made them, how many there were involved, what they were up to and when they were here? Holy crap - what if it were written in leaf litter?
Did the wind just shift?
Who voiced that sound and what did they say?
Start your never-ending journey into the art of tracking and animal behavior through study, play, community building, discussions, story sharing and of course lots of immersion through outdoor exploration in a variety of ecosystems. It’s time to put away your newspapers and devices and learn to read the local news! It’s full of sweet stories, romance, drama and “ necessary” violence but will make you feel more alive and grounded than hearing about what us fear-infested Humans are up to.
